On-Air Talent / Angel Garay

Angel Garay recently joined the Univision Radio family. Born in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, the “birthplace of Mexican bandas”, Angel grew up surrounded by this popular music and his people, two important aspects of his life which helped shape his personality and character.

His career in radio began while he was still in high school and was asked to cover for a weekend DJ in his town’s radio station. Later, in 2000, Angel was invited to join Lieberman’s “La Que Buena” as a midday jock. A few months later and thanks to his work ethic and personality, Angel’s show reached the #1 spot among all Spanish Language Los Angeles stations in its daypart. Shortly after, he was given the afternoon drive daypart, where he was also very successful.

In 2008, Angel joined Tricolor Network transmitting live from Los Angeles to several top Hispanic markets, including Denver, Las Vegas, Sacramento, and Phoenix. During this time, his show achieved stellar ratings.
